We know each other online for years and we just recently thought about shooting together.

I actually knew already her outfits were great, just that they are BEYOND great!!

This photoshoot has been very important to me. Thank you La Rose Couture!

Lucky me, I also got to work with one of the most awesome photographers ever - EyeshootPhotographs, who mastered a perfect English and has been SO kind and nice. Also, very fast! You have no idea how fast he is. He's easy going, nice, funny and helpful. He also owns a beautiful dog with big sweet eyes and I would have cuddled it for the rest of the day if given the chance to :P. I am probably more of a cat person, however dogs are just as lovely.

Thank you both. This shoot has been super and you have been great :)

My #CitiesToVisit list is a bit boring since everytime I come back to Belgium instead of visiting new countries, but hey. I love it.

Every time I discover new places and find the same old tastes again. I like the smell of food in Belgium. You always smell something, while walking. There are small shops and lots of restaurants and sweets and "frites" everywhere. It must be terrible to be on a diet over there :)

Sadly I had no internet and we decided the route day by day due to the weather, so I couldn't warn anyone about meeting. I anyway managed to meet some people and it has been awesome! :)

I have been in Bruxelles, Antwerpen, Gent and Brugge (which I never visited before and loved it so much!). Once I got some wi-fi connection I tried to keep my twitter updated as much as I could, however it stopped working. Oh well. It was very annoying to type on the phone anyway *pouts*.

I posted some touristy pics on Twitter (will post more as I stopped uploading them for some reason).

I also had a great shoot with EyeshootPhotographs and La Rose Couture. Sadly, we never managed to do it. The photographer went on hiatus some time after this shoot and we haven't been able to shoot ever since :(. It's been some years now and there is no way to contact him, so I assume the project is not happening.

So if anyone is willing to portray me as Rogue, YES I'm up for it. Ahah! :)

Speaking of this picture: it is heavily edited indeed. The photographer wanted to create something in between a picture and a comic. The mask was actually made of liquid latex and literally glued to my face. I will remember this shoot as lots of laughs and fun. I miss working with Mark, he is such a funny and creative guy :)

Over two hours late..).

Shoot involved latex. Much love by my side if you ask me, I did not shoot latex in a while and truly missed it, even if I enjoyed all of the pretty corsets instead ;) I had the lucky chance to wear one of the prototypes of the new Virna's VinNoir's Latex collection. They both depicted different characters inspired by their outfit's different designs and they were so beautiful and good looking! I loved Valentina's first time wearing latex, she was surprised of the feeling and kept saying it was so comfortable and nice. She rocked it if you ask me.

(The backstage: getting ready)

(Polishing Valentina with lots of lube - and laughing a lot!!!)

(Time for me to shoot - I think the other person in the picture is Veronica, however she's so out of focus I am not 100% sure o_O)

(Striking a pose <o/)

(Group Shoot: All of us three together :) <3)

Photographer is Miz (Eva de Santis), well known as VirginPunk . I know about her since.. forever, still we never had the chance to work together or even to think about it. I don't really know why. She's around the scene for years, even if we kinda did different things until now. I like her photography and her models a lot. Fierce and feminine.

Meeting her has been a blast. She's exactly like I pictured her and very funny to work with. She strives for perfection and does it with passion. It's so awesome to see her working!

Last but not least, I really have to thank the whole staff that was there. Jennifer, Miki, Veronica made our day better and they helped a lot. Thank you girls.

This post doesn't show the final images. These are all backstage images (I think they have been shot by Veronica...?). For the curious ones, I posted a final picture already in my facebook page :)

Thank you everyone for this great day :). I have been SO happy!

So much so much to do! It's overwhelming!

I know I have not been writing on my journal for a while. I've been busy working on so many different things at the same time :)
However, let's go step by step and write couple journal entries, so I can catch up a bit :)

Past weekend I grabbed my bag and went to The.Ory's HQ. We had to shoot and couple of days were needed, also because my Saturday morning was dedicated to visiting Miss L. (my colleague) and her lovely newborn :) (and one afternoon only wasn't enough for two shoots on locations that were far away from each other).

Speaking of Miss L.: you may recall, if you follow me on Twitter, about my office days and you can remember about the whole thing, even the latest party we had before she left the office and went on maternity leave. Plus our latest girly evening has been right 4 days before her son was born ;). And all of this in a few 140-char messages! :D

We had pizza, we had cake, we had fun. Sadly I can't show you pictures due to the fact there are other people in the pictures, but it has been an awesome evening. And it has been super to finally meet the little boy.

Back to The.Ory ;).

After that, I did walk to the trainstation and, after one hour and half waiting for any public means that could take me over there, left. Thank you fake timetables really. We literally wasted at least a couple of hours of precious sunlight.

She picked me up at the station and we drove home. We spent some time discussing outfits and styling (as if we didn't do that for long enough, our brainstormings last for weeks before the final shoot). Bloodflower arrived to help out (she's lovely! Thank you again!) and once I was all dolled up we jumped into the car and drove to the location.

Here is a preview, you can find the gallery HERE (updating it as soon as I get the pictures, but I couldn't resist uploading them even if at the right moment I have two only!). I know the gallery layout looks a bit weird when displaying horizontal pictures, however I am too busy doing other people's websites instead of fixing mine and I wanted to start upload larger pictures (800px wide). So please bear with me. One day I will fix it. Hopefully ;P

I was feeling like a diva with that delicious little crown and all of the curls.

So here we are, another year has passed by and many many things happened. I still have to build my 2012 resolutions list! I won't stop talking about it until I own a decent list so I better start :)

Holidays are about to end and I had a great time in Milano. I spent some wonderful days over there, met people, had some nice walk and visited The Milan Monumental Cemetery - I couldn't manage to see it all and was a bit in a rush so I'll be there again next time. Very inspirational, decadent, beautiful. The older areas look the best, not very happy about the most recent tombs but still. Every statue is a work of art and it really is an open-air museum, as the website says. I was in awe. So many years in Milan and I never visited it before. Unbelievable.

Other places to visit in Milano: other than the Duomo square, which is wellknown (however they finally took the scaffold off the main facade so you can see the Duomo, and there are illuminated stained glasses at night!) there is a new place I discovered this time and you can make sure I'll pay several visits there. The place, right behind the Rinascente mall, is called 'CioccolatItaliani' and they offer a wide selection of chocolate, ice creams, cakes, coffee.. Oh my oh my. I had a bit of it all: chocolate and ice cream. So much to taste! I like that there are chocolate fountains inside (3 of them: java, dark chocolate and white) and when you ask for an ice cream, they put some chocolate (you get to chose the taste) inside your cone so when you're done with the ice cream, you still have chocolate inside! Om nom nom!

And since we're at it, right in front of the CioccolatItaliani place there is Luini, well known for its panzerotti [the classic version, with tomato and mozzarella, is the best choice]. However be prepared; you will most probably find the longest queue ever. However, the wait is worth it, so if you pass by Milano make sure to pay these places a visit.

Photography by Ulisse Provolo
[actually nobody knows, however he is a photographer as well. I make resolutions during all of the year. Despite it, this is a nice time to think about the year that has passed by and see the results. Thinking about how to start with a fresh, new year helps bigtime and puts you in the right state of mind to start new things.

Photography/Necklace: The Ouroboros
Model: Delilah

So what did you do during this year? A whole load of things I assume :). In my case, most important things that happened concern my work, people I met and people I lost. As for my work, I managed to move to a place I like even more and I keep improving. Many new things keep happening and I am very glad of it. Still, I do not wanna jinx it nor talk too much about it (as it's my business, you get what I mean :)) so fine it is.

People I met: Oh Dear. This year has been crazy. I met some important people in my life, had new experiences and am so grateful about new friends & people I got to know. Some of them really changed my life - or well, they just gave it a good kick. I learnt how to be more open and positive about what happens in my life and how to set targets and, well, chase my resolutions and dreams ;)

People I lost: well, of course not everything is positive. However nothing bad totally happens by chance. In this case, the most sad "departure" has been one of a long-time friend who misunderstood our relationship and got offended (really?) when I didn't feel like considering him more than a friend. Amen to that. This is life - I thought he was a good friend, and he surely lost a chance. One can't just 'pretend' certain things. This is sad, but so is life sometimes. And even though I am feeling perfectly fine with him and am not angry/whatever, I am disappointed and it's not difficult to understand why :(

Main news end here.

I will then grab a piece of paper and begin to list things I did, things I should do, things I am doing. And see what's left, what can be added and stuff. Rebuilding my resolutions list will be funny.
Not sure I will post anything new before 2012 - there still are a few days left though. I want to wish you everyone lots of good things. This is what I wrote on my facebook page, I think I can copy-paste it because it's a genuine wish :)

Merry Christmas to the ones of you who celebrate it! As for the rest, Enjoy your holidays and may 2012 bring you loads of positive things. In order to get something, or to reach the next step, you need to believe in what you're doing and you need to believe in YOURSELF. So never stop fighting for your dreams and keep building your own fairy world, one piece at a time :). And when something seems impossible, don't give up. Just think it's harder, never impossible. Thank you for the love and support you gave me in 2011. It has been the best present ever :) ♥♥♥

So yesterday night has been great. I have been to a party and didn't expect it to be so awesome. I am not a party person at all nonetheless I had so much fun!

It was supposed being an informal dinner with colleagues. I mean, we were a certain number of people and some of us didn't know each other, even.
We went to a restaurant which was lost in the Middle of Nowhere. We had lots of food (well, I didn't, but someone else did and we all got very impressed by his ability to eat a whole elephant with mayonnaise on top) and lots of laughs for sure :D

The waiter was so funny and after the dinner, we went to a colleague's home (his house is fantastic! Pretty much looking like a doll house :O) and kept going on with the private party thing. Rocking.

On a different note, here are couple of pics from my latest shoot past weekend:

See, gothy me. The second one's quality looks a bit weird as it's directly linked from my facebook page and I assume facebook does apply some resize algorithm so they don't look 100% okay. I will upload them on my website later, a bit bigger, so you can see them better :)

Photos: Wasabi Photography
Model: Delilah
..and the necklace is by Sacre Coeur :)

Is 'being pretty' important in Modeling?

I dressed up as a cat, during our first shoot. Custom-made nails, custom-made outfit, custom-made kitty ears! We shot so much since then, but this photoset is still one of my absolute faves. Thank you The.Ory :)

Oh, I also updated VerdeKiwi's gallery "The Bride" with some new pics :)

I often read and hear many discussions about being pretty or not, regarding modeling and photography. I don't believe "being pretty" is the key. I believe it helps when it comes to a certain type of pictures (ie beauty?), however modeling is not about just "being pretty". At all.

It's a bit like being actors (even though I am not comparing me to an actor, mind that. It's just easier to compare when it comes to explain).

Actor do not have to be good looking. Some become even quite ugly with the help of makeup. I could name you several memorable movies in which the pretty actors became monsters, or just older than they are, full of wrinkles, fatty or plain ugly. Did you care about it? I don't think so. It's about what you do, who you are, how you do it. The Gollum impressed you, but you didn't even see the actor's real face.

There are many artistic expressions in the world. In my case, my 'art' is made by my photos (as in, the final result), not by my face. I don't go around pretending I'm pretty. It is the images I create or the character I am. I am, in a way, a performer, except that every character I play is part of me. And I love doing that. A shoot is not just standing there and make faces or strike some poses. It's a total workout, both mental and physical. If you do it well, of course. If you feel it.

I have always been limited in my chances by several things and other priorities in my life, however I am very happy I have been that lucky and could shoot so much and did so many things I loved to. When I'm old and grey, I'll be very glad I gave it a try :)

Time to sit down and think about what happened this year and some resolutions for 2012. One month left, or so. This weird year is coming to an end.

I was complaining about my headache today. Third day in a row, non-stop, including the nights. This evening, while having supper with my parents, they told me a 'headache story' about my granddad that I feel like sharing.

He was a child, and -just like it happens to all of us- he got headache. The headache lasted quite long. One day, he was sitting on a fence, in a graveyard, eating something (I believe this may have happened during the war) and he suddenly realized he had headache no more. At that time, he was a soldier, in his 20s. I mean, his headache lasted YEARS. He was a child, and it didn't stop until he was something like 21. He never had any headache anymore. I think I'd turn insane if that happened to me :(

Did I learn something? Of course I did: I shouldn't complain that much! Also, I learnt something new about my granddad. You can see me and Cunene, while chatting. I admit I applied a cheesy-and-lovely effect on the picture to make it look a bit 'old'.

That's it. I am sorting my website galleries and, as promised weeks ago, uploading new pics almost everyday. I am filling old galleries with goodies and creating new ones, so if you got some spare time go check them :)

Newest Addition: "You are the Prey", by The Ouroboros. The.Ory and I were shooting when some bikers came over to the location for some relax. They were back from some bikerfest in Austria. They noticed us [it was impossible not to, I was literally climbing over a waterfall. Shooting with The.Ory means you must be well trained, I tell you! :)] and in the end they asked for a group picture with me. Ha! It has been funny. I don't have copy of the picture (boo) but I am sure it looked wonderful, with me dressed like that right in the middle of bikers (They were something like 6 or 7). Score!

She told me about her school (she's very young) and about the fact she's being bullied. It's so sad to see there still are people that have nothing better to do but be mean to schoolmates. You're so sad really. Taking advantage of the weak is so terribly wrong in our society, and doesn't make you cooler. It's just a personality fail.

I had a small talk with the girl - ten minutes or so, she left soon on her way to the school. I gave her some advice, knowing that only growing up would help in certain cases. Before leaving, she even said she was sorry for 'bothering' me. She did not, actually. And before leaving, she gave me a kiss on my cheek as 'thank you'. So sweet of her.

This is a lovestory. It's lingering in fairytales, breathing fantasy. It's about being someone, somewhere, in a story that has most probably been invented.

Photo by Cunene | Model: Delilah

Daily life stories: phonecall at the office.

Small story today about some "daily life" stories. Things that happen to me, most probably not related to modelling, but either funny or whatever. Here is one :)

I was at the office, when my mobile started ringing. I checked the caller and it was the 'Wrong Number Lady' one. Small story behind this funny name; I get called since past summer by this old woman, who asks for "Mr B.". I told her several times there is no 'Mr B.' around here, and usually after I say hello, I get called again within five minutes by her husband (I suppose) who asks me the same thing about Mr B. (No, as I told the lady abut five minutes ago, this number is not the correct one).

So today, as said, I was at the office and saw the number again. Was very tempted not to answer (I did it so many times you can't count, and I also did not answer for the same reason quite a lot of times) however I picked the phone up. The lady, supposingly old, asked me about Mr B. again. I told her there was no Mr B. (once again) and spelled her my mobile, like 'it's one, two, two, three, four..'.

She called me again after a while, surprised it was me again. She told me she typed the whole number but it didn't work. I told her the number was probably wrong because of its lenght and the system probably didn't recognize the latest 3 exceeding cyphers .

Then I googled for the mobile number, deleted some numbers, and voilà. I found out the Mr B. she was looking for. She repeated some numbers on top so it perfectly matched mine.

I picked up the phone, I called her back. She was really surprised. I told her 'hello, I am the girl you called twice by mistake. I checked over the internet, I think this is the Mr B. you're looking for; his number is zero, zero, one, two, three..'.

I hung up the phone. It costed me nothing, really. And she finally managed to call Mr B. :)

Sunday, sweet sunday.

Today's plans involve jumping on a train and reaching Udine to meet some people. I'm cold however it's a sunny day, so I hope temperature will be fair.

I updated some of my galleries [both new and old ones] with more pictures. I am indeed too selective and I admit, galleries end up being almost empty. My fault. Here's a preview of what's to come in The Ouroboros gallery "The Gammon" :)

I am also updating my Facebook Page with backstage pictures, candids and some preview. I am just too lazy, I have so many DVD's laying around here :). Stop procrastinating, Delilah!
